Virgil is part of my We ART the Champions series, where classical imagery meets contemporary athletic symbolism. The figure appears carved from light against a deep black ground: the laurel crown evokes consecration and cultural memory, while the wings suggest the “flight” of inspiration and the role of a guide between worlds.

Here, the basketball replaces the globe of our time, an emblem of discipline, rhythm, and strategy inside the modern arena. The vertical lines in the background hold a steady tempo, like poetic meter or a musical score, turning the composition into a silent performance.
