In this work, I imagined a figure suspended between classical mythology and contemporary life.

The sculptural body recalls the grace and balance of ancient statuary, while the table tennis paddle and ball introduce a familiar element from the modern world. The combination interests me because it transforms an everyday activity into something timeless and symbolic.

Against a dark violet background crossed by fluorescent lines, the figure appears poised and composed. Her gesture suggests concentration rather than action, as if she were suspended in the brief moment before movement begins.

I like to think of her as a modern Nike, the Greek goddess of victory. Yet the victory represented here is not achieved through strength or conquest, but through precision, focus, and self-control.

The painting is part of my “We ART the Champions” series and is created with acrylic paint and stucco on cotton canvas. The edges are painted, and the artwork is signed on both the front and the back. It is ready to hang and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The surface is protected with a double layer of matte varnish, ensuring resistance to UV light and the passage of time.
