In this work, I imagined a figure suspended between antiquity and the present day.

The sculptural body recalls the timeless beauty of classical statuary, while the skateboard introduces an unexpected contemporary element. The contrast interests me: ideals that survive through centuries meeting objects designed to move quickly through the present.

Against a dark violet background crossed by fluorescent lines, the figure remains still. Calm, self-possessed, and seemingly untouched by the acceleration surrounding him, he gazes toward a distant horizon.

I like to think of him as a modern Apollo: youthful, serene, and enduring, carrying not a divine attribute but a symbol of freedom, movement, and possibility.

The painting is part of my “We ART the Champions” series and is created with acrylic paint and stucco on cotton canvas. The edges are painted, and the artwork is signed on both the front and the back. It is ready to hang and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The surface is protected with a double layer of matte varnish, ensuring resistance to UV light and the passage of time.
